HMC is a touring ensemble of the Heartland Marimba Festival, primarily doing concerts in June/July and December. The members constitute various accomplished artists and apprentices from the heartland. The music spans many genres including classical arrangements, jazz, tango, ragtime, Americana, pops, holiday favorites, and circus. HMC artists also serve as the teachers of the HMF summer workshop for youth and community, SoundW.A.Y.S.

Each summer the HMCollective has a rotating and dynamic membership. Artists in HMC include accomplished performers from the heartland, apprentices from around the nation, and HMQuartet members.
